Chelsea, or in fact Peter Kenyon, brought Luis Felipe Scolari to Stamford Bridge to create some Brazilian style flair and excitement. At Old Trafford Kenyon had to watch as all the tactical and training ground nous came from his former compatriot Si Alex Ferguson. On a sunny April afternoon four years ago at Stamford Bridge the axis of power shifted to Chelsea under Jose Mourinho with a comprehensive 3-0 thumping of United. Yesterday it lurched back to United. This was no ordinary victory, but included two inspired tactical innovations from Sir Alex but also a comitment to the details of football that seems to have been beyond Scolari.
